Hello!

My name is Moses Latigo Odida.

The word kigaana is a word from the Adhola tribe in Uganda, where I was born. It means 'storytelling.'

I love to tell stories. Through my academic work, travel, and life experience, I have developed an awareness of local and global realities that complicate people's lives. Oftentimes people experience a degree of liberation when their stories are amplified. This realisation has refined my passion for storytelling.

Kigaana Productions was created to tell unique stories that seek to liberate people through the visual medium. As a freelance filmmaker, I have created a wide range of fully produced videos about individuals and communities working together to make things right. Some of these stories focus on issues about mental health, refugee crises, systemic racism, personal development, and community flourishing, among others.

Thank you for visiting!
